The weather did not dampen the jubilant atmosphere at Devonport High School for Girls as we celebrated another excellent set of GCSE results. The maturity, dedication and resilience our students have shown during a difficult period of their education has been outstanding.

There have been some fantastic achievements, with 5 of our students achieving all grade 9 results, and 5 students achieving nine grade 9 results and one grade 8.

“We would like to thank our staff, students and their families for their amazing support during the pandemic as we have all worked together to ensure that our very high standards of education and pastoral care have been maintained. This has been a unique experience and everyone has worked extremely hard and should be proud of what they have achieved,” said Mrs Bell, Acting Head Teacher. “Our students are well prepared for the next stage of their education and we look forward to supporting them as they continue their journey towards their A levels.  We are extremely proud of all our students - they have been absolute superstars."
