PARENT FORUM

What is a Parents' Forum?

A Parent Forum is an opportunity and open invitation for all parents/carers to meet on a regular basis to discuss a range of school topics and to offer opinions. lt is a genuine attempt to seek the views of parents and develop a stronger partnership by improving understanding through communication.

Why do we have Parents' Forums?
  • The forum has the opportunity to contribute to making decisions through an open dialogue.
  • lt will connect families with others in the school and in the community.
  • Parents and other family members can gain knowledge and confidence that will in turn help them support their daughters education.
  • Families are more likely to understand the goals and the school and be able to support proposed changes.

Who can attend the Parents' Forum?

Anyone who has a daughter enrolled at our school and/or involved with the welfare of their education is automatically a member of our Parents' Forum. For example: parents/carers/grandparents.

What happens at the Parents' Forum?

Our meetings last approximately an hour. We encourage parents to come if possible with their thoughts already prepared to share at our meetings, although anyone can attend a meeting, even if they just want to listen. Our school staff will also bring ideas and thoughts to share. These thoughts and opinions are discussed and outcomes formulated in support of parents, pupils and the school.
